Instituto Bernabeu conference for professionals: “urogynaecology and the pelvic floor”

This conference has been organised on Saturday 24 September with important national specialists to discuss the latest advances.

The study of a woman's pelvis floor is currently identified as a specific area of knowledge within the Gynaecology and Obstetrics specialty, due to the fact that it is a field that has experienced significant development. This is mostly because of the great deal of knowledge that has appeared over the last 10 years about the pathophysiology and function of the pelvic floor and its organs, as well as the emergence of new drugs and modern diagnostic and surgical techniques for treating urinary incontinence and genital prolapse.

Therefore, pelvic floor specialist urologists and gynaecologists will participate in this conference, which aims to create a space of understanding and collaboration between both specialties.
