- The certification analyses and acknowledges quality management systems in all areas of assisted reproduction laboratories
Instituto Bernabeu has been awarded the UNE 179007-2013 Spanish standard, a certification which evaluates quality management systems in assisted reproduction laboratories. It's the first health centre in the Valencia region and one of the first in Spain to be given this certification.
The Spanish Association of Standardisation and Certification (Aenor), the entity which issues the standard and evaluates fertility clinics, has acknowledged the quality in all Instituto Bernabeu's branches. Specifically, the andrology laboratory, the embryology or reproduction laboratory and the cryopreservation laboratory have all been certified under this new standard.
Since it was established in the 1980s, Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante has been a pioneer in obtaining the main quality certifications such as ISO 9001, SEP International health, the Health Development and Integration Institute (IDIS) QH (Quality Healthcare) certification and the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) certification. The Aenor UNE 179007 certification will now be added to the list.
