Instituto Bernabeu participates in the 14th edition of the Congress of Pharmacy Students
University students visited the reproductive medicine clinic facilities in Alicante in order to gain an understanding of the processes that require pharmacist participation
Instituto Bernabeu once again participated in the Congress of Pharmacy Students (CEFA). It held its 14th edition this year. Future pharmacists got to know the Instituto Bernabeu clinic headquarters in Alicante and gained first-hand knowledge of the role that pharmacists play in assisted reproduction treatment. The clinic once again collaborated by giving a presentation delivered by Instituto Bernabeu pharmacist, Ana Fabregat. It addressed the role that pharmacists play in assisted reproduction treatment. The congress was held between 23rd and 25th October and participants had the opportunity to visit the reproductive medicine clinic facilities in order to understand how pharmacy is involved in each of the different processes during assisted reproduction treatment.
The pharmacist from Instituto Bernabeu showed students how the donor gamete sample reception process works and how gametes are stored and prepared. They also got to know the necessary pharmacological treatment that is given during artificial insemination as well as the different processes that are performed in the laboratory and theatre.
This collaboration is part of the support that Instituto Bernabeu gives young scientists and researchers with the aim of increasing knowledge of reproductive medicine and its role in various healthcare sectors, as well as helping science to grow.
