Oral presentation in ESHRE, 2015: ‘Altered FISH in sperm, would you be indicated Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)?’

  • 17-06-2015
Our colleague, Belén Lledó, Scientific Director of Instituto Bernabeu Biotech, presented one of the 10 pieces of research work accepted by the scientific committee for ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) a few moments ago. This is the 31st edition of the Society's Annual Meeting, one of the most relevant gatherings of specialists in the field of assisted reproduction.

The research work, entitled ‘Altered FISH in sperm, would you be indicated Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)?', indicates that ‘males with altered FISH in sperm are more likely to produce embryos with chromosomal alterations and, therefore, genetic diagnosis of embryos from couples with these characteristics would potentially reduce their number of failed implantations and repeat miscarriages.'
