Workshop for specialists. ‘Sperm quality and fertility: sperm competence.’
What is competent sperm? This crucial question is one of the great incognitos for those of us who work in the field of reproduction.
Professor José Julián Garde, Head of Faculty at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Full Member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Veterinary Science and one of the most influential scholars in the field of male gametes, will give a keynote speech on Saturday at 12:00h in the Instituto Bernabeu auditorium in Alicante. It will bring the series of refresher training courses for experts held throughout the month of October to a close.
A specialist in sperm function, testicular biology in different animal species and their influence in reproduction processes, Dr Julian Garde is one of Spain’s most prolific investigators. Numerous reports have been published as a result of his work, including, amongst others, publications in the prestigious ‘Nature’ magazine as well as participations in national and international congresses.
Complimentary wine shall be served following the intervention in order to allow participants to enter into further discussion. Colleagues interested in attending are requested to fill in the application form so that an adequate control of the auditorium seating capacity may be carried out.
