Ongoing training and participation in congresses is part of the day-to-day work routine at Instituto Bernabeu. One such example this month was the first edition of the Assisted Reproduction Event held in Toledo (Spain) on 21st and 22nd February. Mónica Aparicio, an embryologist at Instituto Bernabeu in Madrid, participated in the gathering of experts where male factor and DNA fragmentation issues were addressed. Her intervention covered the techniques that are performed at the clinic.
Instituto Bernabeu participated in the third edition of the symposium on controversial issues in the field of reproductive and perinatal medicine which was held in Madrid in late January. Dr Ángela Llaneza, a specialist in reproductive medicine at the clinic in Madrid, participated in the event by giving a lecture entitled ‘Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) and reproduction guidance’.
The Manager of the Embryology Unit at Instituto Bernabeu, Dr Jorge Ten, has given a lecture on the Master’s Course in Human Reproduction organised by Complutense University in Madrid (UCM) and the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF). The doctor has been actively involved in course for over a decade. Dr Ten addressed the issue of oocyte vitrification. Instituto Bernabeu is a groundbreaking clinic in this field with over fifteen years of experience of vitrification of both gametes and embryos. Practices such as these need to be performed under a robust vitrification programme and by experienced embryologists. The Master's Course, in which Instituto Bernabeu plays an active role, trains students in highly specialised reproductive medicine skills and updates their scientific knowledge.
The Instituto Bernabeu Group has obtained the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Certificate in all its clinics; Alicante, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, Albacete, Cartagena, Elche and Benidorm.
