Instituto Bernabeu represented by two genetics research projects at the ASRM reproductive medicine congress in North America

Instituto Bernabeu participated in the 75^th edition of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) congress held from 12^th to 16^th October in Philadelphia. It is one of the leading congresses in the world both in terms of the number of participants and in terms of the quality of the work that is presented there. Dr Ll. Aparicio, Medical Co-Director of Instituto Bernabeu, was the clinic representative at the global gathering of experts attended by 9,300 people from 94 countries. It is a not-to-be-missed event in the field.

The congress’ scientific committee assessed work on genetics presented by Instituto Bernabeu, specifically analysis of the vaginal microbiome and pharmacogenetics. Both pieces of research work were managed by Andrea Bernabeu, Medical Co-Director, and Dr Belén Lledó, Scientific Director of Instituto Bernabeu Biotech. The Reproduction, Molecular Biology and Reproduction Biology Units at Instituto Bernabeu were involved in the research. The fact that both items of work have recently been published by the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG) and the Pharmacogenetics and Genomic journal, which is also edited in North America, are testimony to the interest that the research has generated.
